Mary appeared to two children, one boy and one girl, on Sept 19th 1846, albeit we have seen one homily give which marked it as Sept 16th.Be that as it may the feast day of Our Lady of La Salette occurred on Sept 19, 2021 this year, which inspired this article. It has been 175 years this month since that appearance.

As the reader knows, the style of our submissions is to focus on Heaven and the words of Mary. The names of the children are know at the web sources, but not germaine to our style. We try to be matter-of-fact in other words. Belief of apparitions like La Salette is not required of Catholics. We believe or would not be submitting this.

Our Lady chose two young shepherd children, who had been playing at the time in a mountain area. A message was given, secrets were too. One to the boy. One to the girl. It is reported that both children could hear Mary's main message. The secrets, however, could only be heard by the intended child, and not the other. The main message was delivered to the town immediately after the apparitions.

The secret, at least to the young girl, was not to be revealed by her until later, namely 1858. That secret, represents some stark information. It was in a book as well.

It is not for us to determine or render an opinion as to whether that secret, which contained prophecy of a future state, has / has not or only partially been fulfilled.

What has troubled us as of late is the amount of interest in the secret on the web, and an assumption that it can only refer to now, and even then quotes are incorrect.
