The Rosary focuses on key events (Mysteries) in the life of Jesus and Mary

There are 20 Mysteries in all (usually prayed in blocks of 5):

The Joyful Mysteries

The Annunciation

The Visitation

The Birth of Jesus

The Presentation

The Finding of Jesus in the Temple

The Luminous Mysteries

The Baptism of Jesus

Jesus’s First Public Miracle at the Wedding Feast at Cana

The Agony in the Garden

The Scourging at the Pillar

The Luminous Mysteries were added by Pope St. John Paul II in 2002

The Rosary has been termed a great weapon against evil

Mary has promised 15 special blessings on those who faithfully pray the Rosary

When she appeared at Fatima, Mary requested daily praying of the Rosary

It typically takes an individual about 15 minutes to say a Rosary (5 Mysteries)

The Rosary can also be prayed in groups, with the leader typically praying the first half of each prayer and the group praying the second half.

In 1571, as the more numerous Muslim ships were trying to defeat the outnumbered Christian ships, Pope Pius V asked all of Christendom to pray the Rosary -- and the Christian fleet was victorious!
