Avoid false spiritualities
_________
![]() Here is what the catechism of the Catholic Church says:
All forms of divination are to be rejected: recourse to Satan or demons, conjuring up the dead or other practices falsely supposed to unveil the future. Consulting horoscopes, astrology, palm reading, interpretation of omens and lots, the phenomena of clairvoyance, and recourse to mediums all conceal a desire for power over time, history, and, in the last analysis, other human beings, as well as a wish to conciliate hidden powers. They contradict the honor, respect, and loving fear that we owe to God alone. (CCC 2116).
The irony is that those dabbling or practicing false so called spiritualities, including examples like witchcraft, the occult and divinations, believe them to be ancient. However what they do not realize is that many of these things such as tarot cards really are from merely the 1800s. Such devices are not toys and open the door to evil in your life.
According to a well-known Catholic exorcist, these practices usually result in significant loss the one who practices.
Jesus is always present and merciful. Return to Christ immediately if you started such practices in prayer, seek out a Christian minister and most especially a priest.
